Festive Red!

Forlan BB Cream is a Press Sample.  All opinions are my own.
Hello, Fireflies!

'Tis the season for getting your glam on! I wore this festive red look to a wedding, but it would also work for any holiday party.  Nothing is more festive than a bright red!

I really loved this retro red polka-dotted dress! A red lip was a no-brainer, but which to choose?  I went with MAC Frank-N-Furter for a satin-matte finish that would hang on through the champagne.

With the red lip being the star of the show, I wanted a glam, but not too bold eye to go with it.  I used the Marc Jacobs Style Eye-Con palette in 118 The Supreme.  Love that gold sparkle in the inner corner, and the gorgeous grey/khaki colors in this palette.  I don't have anything else like it.
Of course I matched my nails to my polka-dotted dress!

The red is a fun crelly from OPI - Red Hot Rio.  Definitely bright and festive.

I used Finger Paints Paper Mache and Uber Chic plate 3-03 for the polka dots.  I was in a bit of a hurry, and didn't clean the plate between stamps as often as I should have, which is why my dots are not as full as they should be.
I drank lots of champagne and danced for hours! My makeup held up pretty well - I love the combination of the Forlan BB Cream (basically a silicone-based primer.  It's not tinted, so I'm not sure why it's a BB Cream.) and the Laura Geller Baked Radiance Liquid Foundation.  Lots of glow, no shine!

What I used: Marc Jacobs 118 The Supreme Eye palette, It Cosmetics Bye Bye Pores pressed powder (translucent), MAC Frank-N-Furter lipstick, Laura Geller Glam Lash mascaara, Physicians Formula Eye Booster liquid liner (Ultra Black), It Cosmetics Brow Power (Universal Taupe), Tarte Flush, UD Eye Shadow primer, Laura Geller Baked Radiance Liquid Foundation (Light) and Forlan BB Cream.

This is a softer look, but I'm breaking out the glitter later this month!  Are you planning any bold red festive looks for this holiday season?
